Not a Wordless Wednesday

They say every summer has a story. Five weeks into our summer & this is our story...

Two baseball playing all-stars. One on a 7-8 Little League Pitching Machine team, the other on a 9-10 Little League Minor League (live arm) team. We have played in the morning, afternoon, & night (still playing at midnight...3 TIMES!). We have played in the blazing sun, the pouring rain, & wrapped up in blankets & jackets. All within the past five weeks.

Little brother has been happy to go along as there have been toys, snacks, his tennis ball & glove, and did I mention snacks? He has been up early, missed naps, been up past bedtime, & has done it all remarkably well.

The big boys have loved every minute of playing and still aren't done. There is one more State tournament to go.

I love watching my boys make memories, make friends, and become better ballplayers. I love watching little brother watch and imitate his big brothers & want to be out there in the middle of it all.

These are the moments I live for. The moments when my boys show me who they are & what they love.

I love them and the things they are passionate for. I'd follow them and their dreams to the ends of the Earth.

Wordless-ish Wednesday

Snow days are very rare in Arkansas, even more rare is a Martin family photo. Thanks to my mom for taking this picture of all 5 of us together.

Wordless Wednesday

Four out of five Martin's are loving basketball right now. The other Martin loves all the basketball, but needs a nap, a maid, a driver, and a massage. Some days I can't keep up with all the crazy!

Wordless-ish Wednesday

Yep, that's a tangerine in his hand. He thought it was a ball, then realized it was food and bit into the skin. He wasn't happy with the taste or the fact that his mean Mommy took it away from him.

This kid will eat any and everything. If you are eating it, he thinks he needs a bite. If a stranger is eating near him, he thinks he needs a bite. He wakes up every morning and I hear him asking for "nanas" over the baby monitor. Nana is his word for food... any food, he especially likes bananas.

I fear for his future waistline. Crazy boy!

Wordless-ish Wednesday

I taught Ethan how to drive the four wheeler at Grandma and Papaw's house a couple of weekends ago. Scary for Mama, exciting for him.

Not sure which was more fun, riding alone or taking Grandma for a ride. Regardless of which was more fun, he smiled the whole time he was driving. He was so proud of himself.

Wordless Wednesday..Almost

I shot this picture Sunday afternoon as the boys were playing on the trampoline. Sometimes the trampoline sitting under a thirty year old oak tree is a blessing, sometimes all the leaves make them mad. Today it added to the fun as they made a huge leaf pile and took turns hiding a football in the pile.

Wordless Wednesday

Straight out of the camera- No photo editing, so it's a little dark....I'm o.k. with that :)
This is one of Ethan's favorite bedtime stall tactics..."Can someone rock me?"
E still sleeps with Blue Bell, his night-night...Love that!

Wordless Wednesday

13 weeks ago...on the beach in South Texas...with my whole family.

In about 13 weeks we will add another family member and probably the last grand baby to this family.

Reminds me how time flies...& how much I love this family!
